Carressa Matthews is a yoga teacher in San Francisco, specializing in teaching yoga for healing.  Being a part of this performance is her act of seva, or selfless service, whereby one gives their time and love to a project as an offering to a higher source.  Caressa feels really blessed to be surrounded by the wise women and compassionate men who've come together to create a community of hope through this performance. Her path to this production began in '02 when she first read the Vagina Monologues.   She produced a production of The VMs in '06, performed in it that same year and has been a part of V-Day every year following.  Caressa gives thanks to all the kind souls who support the mission of V-Day.

Jennifer Fullerton has a BA in Physical Geography from SFSU, and has since moved on to the field of medicine and healing. Currently, she co-manages an integrative family medicine practice in Noe Valley, San Francisco. In May 2010, she will begin studies at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA. Jennifer enjoys writing, reading, live music, and being of service where she can. Jennifer has been involved with V-Day since 2002, when she first auditioned and landed a small role giving introductions in The Vagina Monologues for SFSU, which was performed at the Brava Theater in San Francisco. Since then, V-Day has played a significant role in her life. She went on to perform My Angry Vagina in 2005, and The Woman Who Loved To Make Vaginas Happy in 2007. In 2008, Jennifer and a friend organized a production of The Vagina Monologues in Marin County, CA, at The Sweetwater Station in Larkspur, which was only the second year the county had hosted a V-Day event. In March 2008, she attended V-Day’s 10th Anniversary Celebration at the Louisiana Superdome and saw The Vagina Monologues performed in the New Orleans Arena. She had the unique opportunity to volunteer for the VIP Reception in New Orleans, where she was able to give Eve Ensler a hug and tell her how much she admired her. In 2009, Jennifer produced and directed A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer, at The Intersection for the Arts in San Francisco. It was exciting and rewarding to include male cast members, and she is delighted to be co-directing the show again this year.

Nayla Raad first became involved in the anti-rape movement about 7 years ago as co-founder of Break the Silence, a sexual violence peer education group, which later developed a 24-hour, student-led crisis line. Nayla continued her anti-oppression work by leading a student group of over 200 members that met regularly to discuss institutional discrimination and organized protests and rallies to create structural change. Nayla is passionate about the arts as a tool to empower members of the community with awareness and knowledge, leading several digital story projects to highlight experiences of those routinely silenced and marginalized in our world. She is a V-DAY veteran, having acted-in, directed, and produced The Vagina Monologues for three years and very excited to be involved in "A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer"!

Rose Tutera is an educator and active volunteer. Currently Rose teaches American Studies at Napa New Technology High School. She serves as a board member and volunteer with San Francisco Women Against Rape, as a Grants Committee member and Champion Fundraiser for Spark, and as the Volunteer Chair for the Georgetown Alumni Club of Northern California. Rose received her BA in English and Psychology and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. She also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching. Rose is committed to public service and hopes to serve as a community leader making strides for women’s rights and empowering individuals through education. This is her fourth time producing a V-Day event and the beauty of the community it elicits continuously inspires her.
